PROSEPT® Burs is a ready-to-use disinfecting solution for rotating dental and surgical precision instruments such as diamond burs, carbide burs, polishers, and instruments made of steel. The disinfectant offers a broad effective spectrum within just one minute. Its balanced formulation based on alcohols, surfactants, and alkali is highly active even in the presence of elevated organic contamination and achieves high cleaning power. The phenol- and aldehyde-free composition prevents discoloration and fixation of blood. Corrosion inhibitors significantly prolong the life-span of the instruments. Because PROSEPT® Burs evaporates without leaving any harmful residues, no rinsing after disinfection is necessary. The standard bath life based on average contamination levels is one week and hence, PROSEPT® Burs can be used in a very economical and ecological manner.
How Do I Use PROSEPT® Burs?
For your protection, wear a laboratory gown, household gloves and safety goggles. Pour the ready-to-use solution into the burbath container. Immerse the rotating instruments completely. Follow contact times. After disinfection, leave the rotating instruments to dry. Do not rinse with water to prevent corrosion. Change the working solution twice or three times a week, depending on the degree of contamination. A daily change is recommended. Before first time use, test material compatibility. Use only on alcohol compatible materials.
